Let's examine the types of men!
If a man knows that a woman is married, she is wearing her wedding ring, acting married, in love with her husband, doing the right thing, etc., then only a shady man would hit on her, not a normal man, not all men, not most men, SHADY men.
Then, there is another crew of equally ignorant men. These men are the men that justify their behavior by believing a married womans story about how miserable she is with her husband...or, believing that he and the married woman have "true love" and she will be leaving her husband for him. I could go on and on. Long story short, these men are stupid and are either blinded by horrible advice, actually believe the married woman or something else. No matter what, it is equally wrong.
Sure, there is another crew of ****** men that just don't give a bleep about the husband, rules, etc. They like the thrill of the chase; want what they can't have, etc. Horrible dudes too!
I am a dude. I have never hit on a married woman before. I have been blessed with 3 absolutely gorgeous women through my adult life, one, in which, I married. My closest male friends are the same way. All of us have had our wives and girlfriends hit on, from time to time. We are intelligent, educated dudes. We are all secure in our manhood, etc. For us, we always viewed this as a compliment. I mean, if a dude is secure, what better compliment about your woman can you receive than knowing that other men would love to have her? Also, it makes the girl feel good to know that other dudes still want her, which is a good thing, as well. If the girl is a well adjusted, secure, intelligent, responsible female, she will accept the compliment, let it make her feel good, laugh about it, enjoy it and brag to her man about it. Same goes for dudes in the flip side of this scenario.
I don't know that you meant for your question to read like this, but it reads that men take other mens wives. Like I said, I am a dude. I firmly believe that women are equal to men: equally intelligent, important, responsible, equal on all levels, different, but equal. Making comments like, "men take other mens wives," completely dismisses a womans intelligence, decision making ability, equalality, it implies that a woman is nothing more than the old caveman image of an ignorant animal that is dragged by her hair back to a dudes cave. This is just not the case.
As wrong as it is for a man to hit on another mans wife, the truth is the other man did not take a vow, promise his life, fidelity, etc. to that other man, the wife did. She is responsible for how she responds to being "hitted on." No man steals another mans wife. Wives leave, cheat, etc. their husbands for other men. Wives are not objects, they are people, so they cannot be stolen!

I agree that it is an ego and power trip, but also a married woman means that they are already attached and therefore they can have their fun with no strings attached. It's good for them cuz they can take advantage of the fact that the woman is vulnerable and up for anything different. Plus a "frustrated, unappreciated " married woman, usually likes the fact that they can play a part completely opposite from their wife and mom situation (a fantasy) and that pays off alot for a guy sexually and everyother way. Hope this helps!

No attachment. Also a married woman who allows herself to be hit on ususally has problems in her marriage. If this is you stay home and stay married. Take the initiative and get some counseling. Go to counseling whether your husband goes or not. You cannot change anything or anyone but yourself.

I don't think they want the women permanently. Since the woman is married he doesn't have to make a commitment. He considers himself a winner all the way around.

Because men are entitled to do so and not women with men or else, it's sexual harassment and they will get a beating for making men feel emasculated.

I had plenty single men hitting on me, but I had to do the right thing is giving them rejection. Because I can't stand SHADY guy's! Meaning they only want friends with benefits. I hate it!!! But I'm also beautiful and guy's can't keep their eye's off of me.

it's a two way street for men and women, conquering is the main objective. when someone married gets hit on they know there is no real string attached, your getting used from jump, they know you have to go home, its convenient sex plain and simple.

They like the challenge of trying to get a taken woman. Or at least when she turns them down it's an excuse they can understand.
