suburbs or city? the Barn of Barrington is great. It is kinda ugly from the outside -- but it's really cool inside and they have great food.

Back in the dark ages when I was there, one of the best catering services that knew these answers was . If they're still there, get money and call them!
Most better hotels have concierge's who know ALL the answers to this sort of thing, but bring money.....

There are many venues, call a professional for advice. Look under caterers in the yellow pages
