my niece is 9 mo old and my sister is 5 mo preg!

I know a girl that has had 4 kids. The first one was born in January and before Christmas rolled around that year she had another one. The other 2 were even closer in age. When she went in for her 6 week check up from baby number 3 she was already 3 weeks pregnant with baby number 4. Me personally my kids are 15 months apart. I think the term for siblings less then a year apart is Irish Twins or somthing like that.

I have a friend who is 19 and her brother is 18. They are 10 months apart. For something like 3 weeks they are the same age but not twins. So, you can apparently get pregnant almost as soon as you heal. I heard you are more fertile for the few weeks after childbirth than any other time. Could be a myth though but the girl I know is living proof that it doesn't take long!

You can get pregnant right away....however, if you're trying to get pregnant, you should check with the doctor to make sure you're physically ABLE to get pregnant. He may recommend that you wait, due to blood loss during birth, sutures(stitches), problems with the birth, your nutritional status, etc. Usually the doctors will recommend waiting at least 6 weeks before having sex so that you can heal. It REALLY is a big job and takes a lot out of your body to carry a pregnancy and to give birth. You might want some time to rest, too!

I have hears that when the doctor tells you to not have sex for 6 weeks that when it happens so fast.My cousin was born may 9, 1997 and her sister was born December 7, 1998.

I got pregnant when my baby was 12 weeks old. You actually are very fertile right after having a baby. Of course, no one told me this until AFTER I got pregnant with my 2nd child! It was very draining on my body so I wouldn't reccommend it!

Well my best friend conceived just 3 monthes after having her 2nd and nows hes 8 monthes old and shes 5 monthes preg.

Pretty soon after. That's why they want to get you on some kind of birth control at your 6 weeks appt.
