I recently was invited to participate in an online affair, after which the person explained that he also had three other online affairs going on simultaneously. Maybe he's just incredibly honest? Or is there something wrong with me for wanting to find someone who is faithful, stable, consistent, and able to maintain some self-control? Are these qualities simply non-existent these days?
This has happened to me many, many times during the past several years...and I ask...WHY? Or is there no answer?

for syrious: I'm definitely not feeling jealous of people who are being taken advantage of, who are married to someone who trusts them implicitly and of those who may even be under age, having online affairs with much older men. No, jealousy is not what I'm feeling: I'm feeling sad and curious to know why people behave this way.

There are faithful spouses and people that will be faithful but due to the Internet and the ability to be honest while hiding who you are providing you a measure of safety to "be yourself" people find out that there are far more imperfect people out there than they ever thought. People have always been this way however in years past it was harder to hide it so people many times kept their temptations and desires more private and hidden. It may be hard and difficult to find someone faithful but there are plenty of them out there and maybe a lot of them are just not on-line. Maybe you have just been unlucky enough to catch the worst of the worst. Being human means you have flaws and failures in life and it also means you can hope that things will get better and your luck improves at finding that person you seek to find for I do believe they are out there somewhere.

I have been with the same person for almost 4 yrs and we are faithful to each other I have no desire to be with anyone else and I think if you really love someone you dont. BUT we have discussed how its become fashionable to "swing" and cheat and all the other crap that goes on I dont understand it either because a relationship is between 2 people not 3 or 4 or more because if more than 2 people are involved someone is going to get jealous and it never works out in the long run.

I'm not married, nor am I involved with anyone right now. But I am in love with someone. I have been faithful to this person even though I don't have a relationship with them. I know that sounds crazy & stupid. But I can't help the way I feel about them. I am suffering because of my feelings. I should just move on with my life and try to find a person who is interested in me. I don't believe in infidelity as anyone who is will be so to the next one they cheated on with to begin with..........

Maybe it's because this is online affairs, some people would not take that as serious as you are. I'm sure there's someone out there that is faithful and stable for you. Don't be upset!!
Good luck!!

Want all you want but as long as you are getting enough what would there be to complain about? Most people are unrealistic, and so are you. Enjoy life as much as you can and do not begrudge others who are enjoying life their way. It sounds like you are jealous because you are too inhibited to participate fully in the greatest joy God gave us!

My wife and I have been married for 6 yrs. We are totally faithful to each other...reason...we have an open marriage and therefore cannot cheat...the divorce rate among the polyamorus is only 5% where even among Christians it is 35% divorce...now you tell me who is the most faithful.
Learn the facts and apply them and have fun!

The on-line affairs may have been caused by boredom.
I am faithful to my wife and so are most of my mates
