When others tickle us it's usually at least a little bit of a surprise. We don't really know what they'll do next and we can only feel the tickling.
If we try to tickle ourselves we know what's coming and there's no surprise. Also, our fingers or whatever we're using can usually feel some sensation. Even if we use a tool such as a feather we still know what we're trying to do.
And it doesn't work the same way.

I think it could be due to two contributing factors like if we start tickling when it tickles we know our own threshold and would stop, we wouldnt continue tickling. And also the element of surprise when the other person is tickling us. The not knowing what to expect and when.

Because when we touch ourselves, we touch it the right way, the right feeling. But other people have different touching and feeling. So when they touch, it feels weird because it's different. I learned that from a person. Doesn't matter if you know that person is going to touch or tickle you, it's still tickle.

Because you don't know if the other person is going to make it tickle, but you know that you can stop at any time of you want, so you don't really feel it!

You have to feel threatend in order to be able to laugh from being tickled. That explains why we don't laugh when we try to tickle ourself.

I did a project on dis, b'cuz yo body kno dat u bout 2 tickle yo self.But it's b'cuz yo body react 2 otha people ticklin u, b'cuz o' da nerves in da body!

its beacause you know where your own fingers are going to go. you are not in control of others fingers. you dont know where someone will press that will tickle. its the element of surprise.

sensation.,,if you put a bug on your neck and let it crawl it wouldnt feel the same as if it landed vthere before yyou quickly smacked it off.,,its because you know what to expect when you touch yourself but its a suprise to your skin when someone else does it

because it is funner when someone else tickles u, i have never really thought about it.
