I need a pool cleaner, I’m thinking of getting a Polaris, but I can’t decide. I was told that they are the best but brand, but I just don’t know. HELP!!!

They are the best but don't buy the best Polaris. Get the second best...fewer parts to get plugged up.

No, that's not normal. Although sometimes a Polaris will surface while climbing a wall and squirt briefly if the bag breaks the surface. If yours is squirting more than this, there's something wrong. Does it float off the bottom? If so, the vacuum skirt that holds it to the pool bottom is not functioning. The Polaris should hug the pool bottom and sides. This could happen if the water pressure to the Polaris is not strong enough, or it could also be that the filter bag is full or otherwise clogged. Also make sure the counter float is adjusted properly. See your owners manual for that. Too involved for here.

We just bought a Polaris - my boyfriend says that they are the best brand.

I like them. I made at least a million dollars repairing them! Personally you couldn't give me one, though. They were good cleaners for a while. Then they got "improved".
