Yes. Birth control only give you a 98% chance of not getting pregnant. I was on birth control and I got pregnant. I learned the hard way that you are supposed to take the pill around the same time daily. If you are late taking it for more than 3 or 4 hours, your system gets off track and your more likely to get pregnant.

Yes, it really is possible.

Find the pamphlet that came with your package of pills. No matter what kind it is, they ALL have a section about "What to do if I miss a pill". It will tell you how long to use a secondary/backup birth control (foam, condom, etc), until your regular course of the pill is resumed and reliable again. If you have lost the pamphlet, you can go to any pharmacy, and ask to see one. You can even find them online at the website of the drug company that manufactured your pill. Anyways...just find the correct info for your type of pill, and rely on what they say you should do stay protected.

Better safe than sorry.

I have never taken the pill and I have never gotten pregnant. But then again, I AM a guy.

The absolute truth is YES. In fact, as stated elsewhere, you can get pregnant without missing any pills. Read the info - no contraceptive is 100% guaranteed.

No. I have missed several times and never gotten pregnant because of it, but make sure the guy doesn't *** inside of you that week either. Condoms are a good idea too. Missing one day won't but if you are taking an antibiotic it will mess up the pill hope you know that.

Theoretically yes, but not likely. You're suppossed to take the pill you forget the next day along with your regular pill, and you should be fine. This has happened to me a few times already and I haven't gotten pregnant yet.

The pill is only 99% effective. So though the chances are slim you can still get pregnant while taking it. Each time you miss that percentile of effectiveness drops.

Yes, you can also get pregnant by staying on the pill regularly -- it's not foolproof or 100% safe.

Pills & pregnancy don't go well with each other. If you are on pills & do get pregnant, its very bad for the baby as it will cary the feeling of rejection. Speak to your baby as many times as possible that you love him/her.
