An hour ago I asked a question regarding how I could identify the most used (and faded) keys on my keyboard. I was advised overwhelmingly to use whiteout.

Do I then just write on the whiteout as I would if the whiteout was being used on paper... with the understanding that a ball ink pen/biro would be more suited than using a waterproof pen?

Try this. Using a Sharpie that contrasts with the color of the keys on your keyboard, write the letter directly in the key. The use a small piece of transparent tape over the top to keep the marker from wearing off. If your keys are black, you should be able to get a pen with white, opaque ink at a scrapbooking or other paper arts store.

But before you go to all the trouble, do you really need the keys marked? The markings are worn off lots of my keys and it doesn't slow me down at all.

Just spend $10-$20 and buy a new keyboard. Save yourself a lot of mess and trouble.
