at a very early age i knew who i was and knew the path my life would take. this had to do more with my personality type then my wishes (genes). are we free or a product of the past - will the jock be a jock, the nerd a nerd, the rebel a rebel - who has control?

I think we are free.How many times a nerd actually becomes the most attracted guy and a jock becomes fat. We do what we want in our life. I believe it's only up to us.

you have control... you make choices every single day. There is a little moment when you could make one decision or another.
It's your free will. You can choose to be whoever you want to be.
Granted, some things are easier obtained that others, like you can't just choose to be a brain surgeon and then get a job doing it tomorrow, but you could choose to go to school for it.
It's all your choice of who you want to be.

I actually believe that we are a product of the past. For example, my daughter is the exact same way that I was when I was her age.

i say we have some what controll over how we gonnan be....its just easier to go the way ur parents want u too....Me, im a reble too...dats y nobody in my house likes me.....my bros hate me, my dad think of me as a bother, and my mom wants me to die......so i guess yea, u have controll over how u turn out.....
