I have an 02 Heritage that I bought in 03. It was my first Harley that wasn't a hardtail/kickstart. After 22 year on custom pans and shovels it was a big change. A lot more comfortable but I just can't get used to it not leaking any oil!

Yeah man! Check out my Road King. Only $20k, but you couldn't believe the tail I get for only spending that much. Well, it was a little more than that after the loud pipes and new cam and leather outfit and custom painted skull cap and t-shirts and boots with the HD logo and HD key chain and coffee mug. I love my bike- me and my friends all have the same costume - buttless chaps and frilly leather jacket with our club logo. We took a huge ride last weekend - must have been at least 80 miles! Everyone was jealous of our bikes and thought we were cool. Thats what owning a Harley is all about! I could have bought a something that was 300 pounds lighter, with 100 more horsepower, and way more reliable - but screw that! This is a Harley!!!

I've owned 2 of em and I used to think they were great. I used to think it was normal to have all those repairs and it was normal to be uncomfortable and I thought that all bikes were underpowered and overweight and lacked handling characteristics. And then a weird thing happened. After about 10 years and tens of thousands of miles, I tried riding something else. Gotta tell you... them Germans sure know how to build a motorcycle. While it was tough to go from an American made bike (well, about 60% American since about 40% of Harley parts come from overseas) to a German bike just from a loyalty perspective, but after examining the goofiness that is HD, and experiencing the quality of a BMW, I'll never go back.

1986 Wide Glide and I just totally went threw the whole bike!! Everythings new, I bought the bike as a project and just completed the motor and trans. Runs like a Bat out of HELL!!! Doing a skull theme!! Was going to sell it but my brother talked me into keeping it!! He told me you have what most people that have Harley`s don`t. A paid for bike!!!! I would sell it though if the price was right. I`m looking at another bike right now but have to sell this one 1st.

naw why would i own a harley??????????
got a stage 1 factory custom fxdwg in 05 new
nice runner comfortable bike, just back from a weekend ride
put almost 1000 miles on it last weekend, from thursday night to sunday.run from sw virginia to the outer banks nc and back and played inbetween.
i like them all but the dyno is a full frame, rides nice forward controls holds added fuel,so the miles are not a problem, just wish i had gotten cruise control also,so that is coming soon.

i do!!! i have a 2001 883 Sportster. i love It!!!!!! I've been to Myrtle beach, Sturgis, Four Corners, Cripple Creek, Red River, Tombstone,Big Bend national Park in Texas etc, etc. I just can't get enough of Riding. As you can see..... I do alot of cross country riding. On a four day pass it's not uncommon to load the bike up and head off. If you are planning on long distance...map out where you are going, how many miles you can go(depending on tank size) carry an emergency kit, extra oil, tools. Saddle bags are wonderful!!! If in dought of gas...always top off!!! Enjoy your ride! Oh yes...make sure your cell phone is fully charged : )

I have a 2003 VRod and I hated it.
The styling anyway. I have about $13,000 into it now. 250 rear tire, new paint, Weld Racing wheels, Avon tires, Wave headlight, inverted front end, 2 into 1 exhaust, new seat with gel packs and a few HD accessories.
Now I love it.

I just bought a 1995 Dyna from my stepdad. It's pretty smooth! The one thing you need to know about Harley's, though, is that they tend to have oil leaks. Something about bad gasket seals. That's just the way they are!

I got a Lowrider for the OL last year. It's a nice bike, plenty of torque and well made, but I think I'll stick with my Triumph because I like the way it handles.
