Well I love my parents to death. We get in fights, but who doesn't. Ok so usually my older sister and them don't get along at all,but all of a sudden she has become their favorite. I'm happy for her, but also upset because I was usually the favorite. How do I get my parents to not have a favorite? I know this question sounds dumb, but it has really been bothering me and I'm not sure what to do.

The same thing happen to me. When my sister was n her senior year she became the favorite. I was the baby so they pay a lot more attention not her. At first I really thought they loved her more. But then I realize that she fend to go off to collage. So they want to pay her little bit more attention so that she can get through it\. With out a making a mistake. Like having a baby and drinking.

My sisters ((there are 4 of us)) and I always tease eachother about being our parents favorite. "No I am the favorite, blah blah." It is harmless teasing because deep down your parents love their children all the same. Sometimes it may seem that they are favoring one child over the other but maybe they are just giving her more attention because they feel she is struggling in some areas and figure she needs more guidance. For instance maybe they help her with a book report and not you because they figure that she needs help and that you can do well on your own, you know that kind of thing. It always seemed like one week a parent would favor one kid over the other for us, but maybe its just hard to shower both with affection all the time so they space it out. If you still feel neglected the best thing to do is to talk to them.:) Don't worry be happy

not being the favorite is the worst at the time but it teaches u. my little brother is the favorite and its really good for me because i matured faster and i learned responsiblity alot quicker and i can pretty much care for myself without help. while my brother on the other hand my little brother cant stand to be away from home with out my mom taking care of him for more than a day

ps all these people who are saying to talk to your parents about it, i have tryed it they will just deny it even though it is plain to see

that's sad!!! i wuld hate it if my parents played favorite between me and my younger brother. if i were you, i wuld talk to my parents about how i feel about it. and talk to your sister, too. maybe she felt the same when you were their favorite. maybe you'll see that both of you are feeling the same about this "favorite" game.
