If you live in a big city and don't get away from urban areas you would think the world will collapse under it own weight. If you do the math you'll see that all six billion people on Earth would fit into 35 5-mile square townships at a density of 1 person per square foot. Expand the space per person a little further and every family could have a home with a small yard and still fit into the state of Texas.
There's a whole lot of empty space out there and the activity from the densely-populated dots on the globe can't influence the big picture much. One good-sized volcanic eruption pours more gunk into the atmosphere than man has made in all of history.
Somehow the Earth seems to keep going no matter what we do to it in the short term.
Every developing society generates lots of pollution and then either collapses or cleans up its act. Europe, Japan, and the States are well into the cleaning phase, The former USSR is still stuck on collapse, and China is currently the biggest polluter.
Science is split on Global Warming. There's research money to be had if you produce results that support it. To me it looks like there is not much evidence to support or deny the theory so the theory is either insignificant or defective.

I don't whine about anything. If anything, I am too stoic. Anyway, there is evidence (validated) of global warming but I can'r spend my every waking hour worrying about how much ice has melted that day in the Arctic. The ways things are going, we'll likely do ourselves in with war by the time all of the ice melts anyway.

Listen man, I am liberatarian. I support parts of both the Republican and democratic parties. However, what i DESPISE about some republicans is how they ignore science.

Science is FACT. its unarguable and absolute. If scientists say global warming will be a problem, then for all reasons it IS a problem.

Neither one can be 'supported' and there isn't much we can do about either one. People whine, period. Humans have ignored the environment for so long that when we finally started paying attention to what we are doing to this planet it was too late.
