Today I told her my brother hit me seriously often and I said "He probably hit other girls since he hits me and I'm a girl." She said, "That's different. Sisters and brothers fight. God you don't have common sense do you?" (In a mean/blunt way) Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! She thinks that Mexicans come from Spain. And she doesn't know that white people originate from Europe. She thinks Latin America means Mexican. I would be okay with it if she was really smart, but at times shes as ditzy as Jessica Simpson. And she says I don't have common sense??!! I was so tempted to tell her off and give examples of how dumb she is at times. Do you think she was hypocritical???

I'm sorry to mislead. My brother haven't hit me for a while. (In a couple of years) Before I used to hit him, then he beat me up really badly. Like punch me three times as hard. (He's 6' tall) But if I hit him now, I bet he would hit me just the same.

I'm concerned about your brother seriously hitting you " often". While it's true that siblings do quarrel, and some may have physical altercations at times, it should not be to the extreme of "seriously often". If you are truly uncomfortable with how your brother is behaving, please tell someone who you know has the potential to help.
As for your friend... just understand that she is who she is (God bless her). Apparently, she is oblivious to her own displays of ignorance. If you can accept and understand that, you will not become so angry. Demeaning her will not help your friendship. Maybe you can try to provide her with insight at times when she seems sensless. For one it was wrong of you to assume he hits other girls just because he hits you. Siblings DO fight a lot more than couples....they feel like it is okay to hit their siblings....even though it isn't. So she was right to say that but NOT in the tone she said it and she had NO right to say you have no common sense. You went to her to talk about a problem because she was your FRIEND and you trusted her. I think you shoudl go to her and tell her that she hurt your feelings and explain to her how you felt after she said that. Maybe nonchalantly say that she isn't the brightest crayon in the box either....Just be open and honest with her. If you can't be, maybe she really isn't a friend after all....good luck sweetie!!
