My favorite is still Psycho by Hitchcock. Very impressive for a 46 year old movie. And I was born 1980 so I'm not one of those who is stuck with the movies from my youth. A great, great horror movie. Great murder-scenes! And the movie has no superfluous moments whatsoever.

The Amytiville Horror freaked me out when I was a kid - not the blood and stuff, but the actions the people made when they got shot in their beds... still gives me the heebegeebies!
