My best friend (girl- straight, me 2) don't talk outside of work anymore. We talk at work, but once we hit the door that's it??!! But she calls sometimes at 8am on my days off-she has the same days off as I do too or she calls at 10pm to ask me a question that her daughter and her saw on a show... and if I don't get a hold of her on our days off then she asks me when we go back to work, " Where the hell you been all weekend?" Even thought I do call her 3-6 times a day. Machine (answering) is off so I can't leave a message for her or I do then she doesn't call back, she's got ID so I know she see's I called her. We talked everyday for an 1/2 to 1 hr after work on the phone before.... You think she is using me??!!! I do but afraid to tell her. Plus she only calls when it's convient 4 her. I have to feed her pets for 2 weeks starting on Wednesday, should I tell her no because I feel like she's only using me. I don't want to lose her as a friend thought 2 yrs, she's knows ALOT about me????

a contant friend is a hard and rare thing to get. friendship is a two way.

It sounds like something in your relationship has changed. Have you ever had any disagreements? Have you thought about maybe you might have done omething to her to make her act differently? If you really care about the relationship then you need to be honest and say" Hey, I have really valued our friendship. And I get the feeling that something has changed. Can we talk about it? Be honest and she will either be forced to tell you what has happened. If she values you as a friend as you do her, she will talk it out. Maybe she is having a rough time. Or maybe actually having time to put into the friendship has lessened. Either way communication and honesty is the best approach.

Yes, it sounds like she is using you for her needs and convienience. Just start being "unavailable" for her, and tell her you have other plans outside of being always there for her and she will get the clue. If not, have a heart to heart with her and spill it out for her what you feel. One of two things will happen, she will be offended because you were right and she IS using you, and she got caught, or two, she has no clue she is doing this to you and will apologize profusely. I wouldn't worry about her knowing things about you, we are all adults here, not teenagers. If it trys to get into the job, go to your boss.

If you already agreed to pet sit then do it. But after that time frame, tell her how you feel and let her know that you are no longer going to go out of your way to talk to her. If she gets upset then she isn't worth keeping as a friend. Good Luck..

Sounds as though she maybe playing a little game. Try asking her out when your at work before the days off.

it sounds a little bit like shes using you try and talk to her about the way you feel and how you think shes just using you. if you dont feel right about feeding her pets tell her no try and talk to her how you dont want her to treat you like that but you still want to be friends with her and dont want to loose that friendship you two have.
