If I was President I would not have gone to war. I would have secured our borders asap and then with the money that has already been used on this war I would buy every man woman and child a hybrid car to cut down on fuel cost for every American. I would not of fought the families of 9/11 victims in having a 9/11 commission and would have had them lead the investigations. And most important I would not have ordered the killing of American citizens by staging 9/11 in the first place.

If I was the president I would have never be able to decide what to do after 9-11. I would have probably done the same thing that Bush did and wage a war against those who suport terrorism only because it is human instinct to retailiate when attacked.

These are the words my history teachers have been telling me throughout the course of their class: It's easy to judge past events when you are watching it all play out in front of you.

I think that is true, if anybody was the president then they would be in the same problem or they would be urged by the country to start a war. Anyone who thinks they can be president should try being one for a year and let everybody know how hard it is because everyone, not just in the United States but in the World, are watching your every step, waiting til you make a mistake.

The sooner the better. The US needs to fill it's war chest and take up posts along the borders, north and south. The only way to crush an enemy like Iraq was to take them off the map. They are playing a dangerous game with the insurgence. The WMDs were trucked out of the country before we even got there and we ended up with egg on our faces. In the end it only stirred up trouble here in the US.After 911 the country seemed to pull together across party lines and bit by massive bit we ended up so pulled apart that we may never be on the same page.So even if the President stoped the war tomorrow it wouldn't change a thing here or over there.

If I were President, I wouldn't have started the war. Don't take this as me bashing Bush...it's not that at all (even though I think he could be doing a better job). He should have known from day one it would be impossible to pull out of this conflict, because you can't kill AN IDEA! No matter how many governments we fix in other countries, and no matter how many people in those countries may be on our sides, that doesn't change the people who still want to do everything in their power to hurt the US.

If I was the President than I would know all the pressure, the global reprecussions and the emense work load, and would then be able to judge such things.

This is why I get annoyed at arm-chair-coaches saying the President does bad things and bad decisions.
Well last time I checked only a few people know the amazing ammoung of pressure and hard decision making it takes to be the "leader" of the free world.
If any of you think YOUR job is hard, think about his where it affects not only him but the entire world. That's alot to be on your shoulders.

When I become president I intend to carpet bomb the entire country that allows terrorism, or are world isolationists with nukes. That includes suberban Iraq, all of Iran, and all of the bad Korea(i cant remember which N. or S.) But first I would go to the mountains that border Iraq and Iran and get the proof of bio weapons. Can anyone else remember the convoys of trucks leaving Iraq for those Mtns a few days before the war began? Did you honestly think Saddam was trying to save his vehichles? And with it in Iran we cant go get it or say we did if we already have.

That's a hard question, if we stopped the war the violence would continue. violence never really stops, there are certian people who are always violent. But it is so sad, because all those soldiers are risking their lives out their fighting for their country and a lot have already died. it seems as though we don't know what to think it could be a whole scam by the gvt. Honestly I don't know, it must be hard to be the president.

A) The President is most likely not able to stop the war.
B) If I were the President, no I would not try to stop it in terms of telling Israel to lay off (if that's what you are implying).
C) I might try to stop the war by pressuring Syria and Iran the players behind Hezbollah and Hamas to return the soldiers they kidnapped and to stop bombing Israel. Then and only then would I pressure Israel to stop what it is doing.
D) Given that Hezbollah has announced it is ready for full scale war and given the Syria remains distant and aloof and Iran silent, I think we should let Israel give Hezbollah exactly what it says its ready for. If the government of Lebanon falls, they have only themselves to thank for failing to disarm Hezbollah and kick out the Syrians.
E) I'm going to write my representatives in Washington suggesting we find a few more weapons and millions to send to Israel in the next fiscal year....
