Install Spybot Search and Destroy. Install it, then look for updates, then immunize, then run a scan. It will clean up a lot of spyware.

I have a google and yahoo toolbar and I still get pop ups, and It is driving me nuts.
But I also found out that I have this spam blocker thing, and I get pop ups from Net offers. I have been trying to remove the spam blocker from my program, and I screwed somthing up when trying to remove it. So I think I have to reinstall it to remove it.
But a lot of my stuff is stopped from coming up. Right at the moment from google is says I have 160 blocked pop ups, and from this other thing I have up, it is 96 blocked. But thank you for asking this question, for I just noticed that I didn't have my yahoo blocker turned on.
I guess it also depends what toolbar you have.Plus make sure that it is turned on. Hope this helps you some.

Internet Explorer is not a good browser or even safe to use!
I've been using Mozilla Firefox for more than a year, and it's performed admirably. Now I get alot less malware, spyware and pop ups. It features: pop-up blocking, tabs, integrated search, an awesome level of customizability, and excellent support for Web standards.
This will help you tremendously!

Internet explorer is the only worst browser in the world. I would rather suggest you to go for Mozilla Firefox. But if u still stick to IE then jus download the google toolbar from google.com.Its free and get rid of those nasty popups.Goodluck.

I suggest getting an antivirus software with a firewall and popup blocker. Norton and Macafee are the big ones and require a yearly subscription and require you to initially buy the product (which comes with a one year subscription). Norton Internet Security is great, Macafee has a similar version. It is a great overall protection from viruses, popups and more.

You probably have a ton of tracking cookies, adware, and spyware on your system. Supposedly they can help cause more pop-ups.
I would recommend installing a pop-up blocker, and if you don't have them I also recommend getting both Ad-Aware Personal and Spybot Search & Destroy. Both are free and work well, links below.

You can download the Google tool bar by going to http://toolbar.google.com/T4/?utm_campaign=en&utm_source=en-ha-na-us-google&utm_medium=ha&utm_term=google%20tool%20bar
Google tool bar has a popup blocker feature. I have used it with Internet Explorer for quite some time and I find it to be quite effective
