I just read that an Argentinian substitute was red carded. It looks like they targeted the officials on the sideline.
Anyway, tough luck Argentina, if you played anyone else, I would've rooted for you. Unfortunately, mein Herz ist mit Deutschland. Viel Spass!

First of all, the Argentinians were playing rough from the word 'go'. Secondly, it was Cruz who started provoking the German players during penalties, by showing them the middle finger, every time an Argentinian scored. Then, when Borowski returned the gesture after HE scored his, they did not like it. So after the winning penalty, as the Germans were trying to celebrate, Cufre chased after Mertesacker - confusing him with the equally tall and blond Burowski - and kicked him very hard. As soon as this happened, a whole group of Argentinians surrounded some German players and officials. Rodriguez jumped into the crowd and started punching. In the meantime, Bierhoff, trying to intervene, got chased, insulted and kicked by Ayala and Heinze.
Obviously the Argentinians were gutted to be out, and understandibly, as they had been the best team in the tournament and favourites to go all the way. BUT, that's no excuse to behave like this! Burowski should not have let them provoke him, but he didn't deserve that kind of reaction (and neither did poor Mertesacker!).
At the end of the day, Germany won fairly - no one wants to have to decide a game with a penalty shoot out, but there you go. Germany have been consistently good throughout the whole tournament, as have Argentina. Germany simply had luck on their side last night. And Lehmann.

The story is like this, as Germany sends the tv signal, they show what they want so the world saw argentinians running and pushing germans, but the truth from other TV transmisions show that the last german guy who executed the penalty and scored when he passed near the argentinian players in his way back to the middlefield shows silly gestures such as kisses and pointing with the finger and insulting.
Second, Oliver Bierhoff the ex player and former Germany manager thinks that as he is in Germany he can do what he likes and began insulting the argentinians in a childish way when the argentinians were leaving the pitch with dignity after accepting the defeat.
Thats why they reacted.

Not sure what started the handbags at the end, but I watched an Argentinian player run at least twenty yards just to launch himself into the back of one of the German coaches.

Some of these players earn in a week the same amount that I earn in two years, so you'd think that they'd be able to conduct themselves a bit more professionally. And what ever happened to FIFA Fair Play?

I don't know much abut soccer but at the end of the day this is meant to be a sport! Don't they sing their national anthem before they play. They are meant to be representing their country and it's bad enough to see the fans riot never mind the actual players. They are an absolute disgrace they are letting down their country and the players involved should not be allowed play for their country ever again. There is no excuse for violence!

Here is what the poor losing Argentinian fans don't want you to know....

The whole thing started because Cruz would flip the Germans off (he would kiss his outstretched middle finger) after every single Argentinian penalty kick that went in. Borroski (GER) did the same after his penalty kick and it pissed the players off even more when they lost. The unused substitute Leandro Cufre (ARG) got his tall blond German players mixed-up and ended up kicking Per Mertesacker (GER) in the crotch after his team lost, thereby starting the brawl on the field. Oliver Beerhoff was trying to shield his players after Mertesacker went down and ended up getting some of the Argentinian frustration focused on him.

I would just like to say that everyone who threw a punch or kick should be banned from football for a couple of months , but i disagree about it spoiling the celebration as it definitely added to it ( best brawl Ive seen seen a Tyson press conference )

Argentina lost becasue they're losers often, notwithstanding the problem is their denial and nasty atittude in existence and incredibly in the course of football. They lost even concept they bragged and said as themselves good, proving it incorrect on the end even after a beatiful objective. so that they ought to qui taking under consideration themselves properly worth of a worldcup.
