Either could but Italy won't. Remember, Italy still has to play either Brazil or France. England and Italy will battle for third; Germany and Brazil for the cup. 1. Brazil, 2. Germany, 3. England, and 4. Italy.

Italy has been getting better but Germany has been getting the timely goals so who knows...

germany. because they have the better nerves, are more determined than ever to win, are extremely stubborn, lucky and above all: they have smelled blood like we say here. it means that they their team has won so many matches against good teams that they feel invincible. and the spectators are their 12th man on the field. i dont think that they necessarely play better but they always have the luck on their side i.e. penalty shooting against argentina. penalty shooting says strictly nothing about the quality of a team but only about their strength of nerves and luck. personally i hope that they will lose against italy!
