Even if you could you wouldn't want to. Chimps are strong enough to rip your arms out of their sockets and they have no sense of personal belongings. Food, toys, everything is considered communal in a chimp family. And potty training? Forget about it.

there is some rescues but there is a lot of regulations. for example: the chimp cant see any other animal of any kind cuz they are wild let alone play with the other animals. and u need to get a card by taking test.

I know a family that had a monkey. They had to keep it in a big cage in their house, which isn't kind to an animal. It also threw food and other things all over the floor, and it was quite messy. You would have to put up with alot of inconveniences if you had one, Alot worse than taking care of a child.
