p.s., if you answer "NO" and you are the last person, you DONT get the points. The person preceding you does.

If there are N responses, then I stand a 1/N chance but since you added the qualifier that the last person cannot answer no we have two groups of possible responders the nos and the non-nos. I think this makes it 1/(2*N) . Also I know I will not answer no therefore I need to subtract that possibility from the total. Lets see, that should make it 1/(2*N)-1.
So the answer is Yes with a probability of (1/(2*N)-1).

You know that everyone says that if we are ever able to go back in time you shouldn't mess with anything because it will mess up the present and the future. I have my own theory. What if we are just living the way we are now because someone from the future already went to the past and messed with something. Your question just made me think of that. Fine, if you're going to do that I can be optomistic. I am last.

MUCH LATER:
But let's try this! The last answer so far is Jimbo, number 35. And I am now answering after him. Does that count? Are the odds getting better?

Some humorous answers.
Logic: Most questions are usually open for a week, so don't answer on the first day. Check Scott's questions for clues as to how long he keeps his questions open on average (about 3 days). Answer on the 3rd day. LOL

Depends on how long you allow it to remain active. You could always extend the expiration.
