i would think that a brook was a little bigger in size than a creek

I believe that the difference would be very slight at best. Here if the water has a lot of slow or stagnant water then it is creek. If it is moving with any speed at all it is a brook. Hope this helps.

A creek is small stream, often a shallow or intermittent tributary to a river. A brook is a natural stream of water smaller than a creek.

Mostly geography,they are both names for the same thing,but it depends on where you live on what you call it.I personally think no brook ever flowed through a gulley.Brooks tend to be spring fed,hence Brook Trout.No trout ever lived in a creek.Of course,one man's stream is another man's river.

I think a brook is smaller and moves faster.However,I've always wondered that myself.I'd like to know how a stream is different than either one of those.

If you drive an 80 thousand dollar car -it's a brook If you drive a 40 thousand dollar car- it's a creek
If you drive any thing less it's a crick.

creeks will normally dry up while brooks are usually from underground streams and tend to be much colder and cleaner.
