Yes it is! Usually, Middle East has a lot of restrictions except for UAE and Bahrain. That's what made them called "an open country". But if I were you, Dubai is better than Abu Dhabi because business opportunities are here, night life, and all, although Abu Dhabi is the capital of UAE.

Abu Dhabi is open city since you could wear a normal dress (I mean there's no need to cover your whole body unlike Saudi). Eating pork for Christians is not prohibited. You have also the freedom to choose your religion and worship your God.

Abu Dhabi is probably one of the safest places to walk alone. I lived there for three years, only left recently. We were there because my husband worked there - my two kids were at school there. There is a massive expat population in Abu Dhabi, so you won't feel as though you are on your own in a strange city. Did you know that Abu Dhabi has now been declared as the Richest City in the World?? So forget stories of mud huts. This City is putting itself on the map. You will be absolutely spoilt for choice for places to stay and dine out. Check out the link in my source for a resume of what is on offer in Abu Dhabi. There are not many tours from Abu Dhabi, partly because outside of the city is just desert. However you should take time to do a desert safari as this will balance your whole trip, you will see how Abu Dhabi has grown from a Bedouin Society only fifty years ago to the amazing city it is today. If I can be of more help, please post further questions. Above all enjoy Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi is just a town that isn't afraid to challenge earth documents, is an exciting town where nothing stands still. One of many places must see in Abu Dhabi is the lovely Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The mosque fuses Mameluke, Ottoman and Fatamid style components to make a harmonious and carefully modern mosque that remembers Islamic architecture. Artisans utilised glass-work, mosaic tiling and complicated carvings to magnificent impact on equally the inner and exterior. It was exposed in 2007 following nearly twenty years of construction and can maintain 40,000 worshippers. Is the largest mosque in the United Arab Emirates.
