Green house gases are stored up in the atmosphere and when the sun rays heat the earth and try to bounce back they get trapped, causing the earth to get warmer. Which in turn causes global warming!

one of the green house gas is carbon dioxide. the green house gases lead to a phenomenon called - GLOBAL WARMING. global warming is the term used to describe global temp. rise. this leads to melting of glaciers, ice caps etc. thus causing a rise in the water level(seas, oceans)this may cause submerging of land masses. it is a global threat and needs immediate attention !
