What's your favorite gospel song?

love it. I like MaryMary and anyone that is on the Gaither video's. There is just to much to mention. The songs are so...... up lifting, and when you have a bad day they turn it into a good one. One of my favorites is Take the shackles off I want to praise him by MaryMary. I love "I will fly away" lots of different people sing this song. Basically I love most all of it to old time religion stuff to country and even some comtemp stuff. What about you???

Gospel Music is amazing as long as it's not that watered-down, elevator music, megachurch stuff. Listen to Aretha Franklin's CD "Amazing Grace", Rev Al Green's "I Feel Good" (my personal fave) or the compilation CD "Sacred Steel" to check out the real deal. Any of these would convert an atheist in about 3.5 seconds.

I don't have any "favorites" because I like different songs when I'm in different moods.

Do you mean "traditional Gospel," or are you referring to all of Christian music, which has been clumped into "gospel" for the sake of classification? I'm not a huge fan of the traditional Gospel sound, but I love Contemporary Christian, Christian Rock, and Worship!!!!

Hmmm. That is so hard! Wow,.........so many. I guess my all-time favorite is How Great Thou Art.
There are gospel songs done by bluegrass artists that I like--like when they sing the old hymns with bluegrass instruments.

I love it!!....of course some songs more than others...I dont know the name the song thats my favorite at the moment...but it goes....Here I am to Worship, here I am to bow down, here I am to say that you're my God!!!!....
