Have you ever lost all your credibility, if so, how have you been able to regain some?

I have. I'm not going to go into details but I regained it by approaching the people I wronged, took responsibility for my actions and repaid any debts and most importantly discontinued the offensive behavior.

You will always loose all credibility in *someone's* eyes. But you have to ask, do I care what this person thinks? Some people have a real distorted view of the world. To these poor folks, you don't want to 'measure up.'

But for sanity's sake, crediibility is about saying things that pan out to be true. Even if you screw up, if you follow that up with no repeats and always say the real thereafter, credibility is 'built'... and even re-built, yup.

So, yes, I loose credibility with someone every day. I gain/regain it every day. Credibility is born of saying what's true, but it's also about perception. Some perceive, some don't...and everything inbetween. And peoples' perception of me/us is constantly shifting, always in motion. Hope i've been clear.

No but I know people who have. They regained it by perserverence and determination. It takes time and patience and a willingness not to make the same mistakes that put you there to begin with.

Yes I did once. I regained it by grooming my wife to be the next president and I won't have sex in the White House if she is elected. - B.C.

Being human I have been there. If you have a heart you will get back there long enough to make you'r next mistake. There we go again. What to do?

well... look at Carl Rove... he just gave up and started playing as dirty as he could... and, I have to admit, he's pretty good at it...

I'm not sure you can get it back... maybe lay low for a few years... but it will still haunt you...
