ive thought about this long and hard and i recon that a life without thinking of the opposit sex could be a very proffitable one without the distractions, also theres a lot of heart ache to be avoided, maybe it dosnt work like this, id like to know both the advantages and disadvantages (not being able to have sex dose not count as a disadvantage)

Well, it has profound hormonal effects. Your testes produce testosterone which regulates your body's growth patterns. You may end up with lethargy, a high singing voice, irregular hair growth (all over), lessened muscle tone and mass, and other issues. It can even affect the way your brain works and how you react to situations.
I really can't find any advantages to castration, sorry. I say, keep 'em for your body's sake.

Where I come from castration is used as a form of punishment 4
rapists,adolturers,etc.
If u r castrated your body doesn't get what it needs 2 grow right
(excessive hair all over,high voice,depleted intelligence,etc.)
DON'T DO IT !!
your body wont like it & will cause u more problems that it worth.

little conscerned here. what kind of heart ache and distraction... what kind of thoughts are you having? maybe you should seek proffesional help. And they can help you decide if this is something you want to do? Seriously, this sounds like you have some serious issues that we are not qualified to help you with here on this sight. Go see a doctor, right away!

no being able to make any children will be the only disadvantage. Too many men think with their penis and that is why so many of them can't get a head in life.

There are web sites that deal with this issue. It's not something I would consider an advantage for myself but if you want to explore the issue, I would suggest that you do web searches on the subject.

No testosterone.
Testosterone is responsible for muscle mass, lower voice and sexual prowess.
