It's Linen Cloth, made from Paprus Plants, they grow along the Nile River. they would pound out the shafts into something like really heavy paper... not too unlike what potato's are in, like a potato sack/ bag. And then it would be wet, and they would let it dry in the sun, people forget Egypt is actually part of Africa, you think like Egypt is its own mystical part of the world... Anway, then they would just cut it into strips.
