I'm not really familiar with the term slip-ons so could you please help me

Shoes. Slip-ons are shoes that you can slip on really easily. Like the ones at Vans.

Usually means a pair of shoes that does not have laces to adjust the fit.
So, you just slip them onto your feet.

It doesn't mean thong type sandals though (sandals with a strap that goes between your toes). Even though you slip on this kind of sandal and there are no shoe laces, we don't mean this kind of shoe when we use the word "slip-on"

Shoes. They have no laces, buckles, snaps, or velcro. You don't have to use your hands, because you can just slip them right onto your foot by stepping into them.

This makes me unhappy, punk use to be cool, it became an section for the girls and men that didnt favor to address bull Sh... Emo is the hot gay. Thats proper, all you skinny goofy searching youngsters contained in the tight outfits, your gay... How punk and gay were given even remotly linked is loopy. yet now even as human beings say what's emo, ill tell them its seventy 5% gay, 20% freak and 5% punk....

No buttons, no zippers, no ties, no snaps, no fasteners, period! Shoes are often slip-on.
