To keep the tech support industry alive. I love them and it is because of them I have a decent-paying job. Ask Michael Moore - it's all part of the military-industrial-government complex. (And trust me...employees from all 3 of those branches of "the complex" have proven time and time again there are plenty of morons who WORK all day in front of computers...never mind owning their own.)
