My wedding band. Was on my way back from a 3 month business trip, driving across country. Lost 30 lbs during this time frame. Has stopped in St. Louis overnight. Was tired & decided to take a shower. Everything was ready to go & I did too like a racehorse. As I flushed the toilet, my wedding band flew off my finger and into the swirling water which was almost gone. I dove, shoved my hand down the toilet and with the tip of my middle finger managed to snag the ring before it was gone. Fortunately, there was nothing else in there, otherwise it would have been too bad....

i am really lol at this one really...
I dropped my contact lens solution in the toilet a few weeks ago and still haven't replaced it.although it is on my list of things to do.
The water was clean..though.
I think if I dropped my toothbrush in the toilet i would throw it out..but I have dropped my comb in the toilet before and used after washing it of course.
Although i admit i dropped a tube of toothpaste in the toilet before and figured if i squeezed a little of it out..the toilet water would be gone out of the tube.

I was at this bar one time and there was pee all over the toilet and I had to do # 2 and I had just been in a car wreck and both my forearms had casts on them from the airbag and I went to do my business but wanted to keep my butt off the toilet by a few inches so it wouldn't get wet and while I was doing that my wallet fell in and I thought gee, I can't get my casts wet, so I asked some other guy who was in the restroom and he told me to go kiss his @ss so I took off my shoe and tried to fish it out with my foot but I got my cuff wet and it didn't work so I pushed the wallet up to the edge of the toilet with my toes and I leaned over and grabbed the wallet with my teeth and my mouth tasted bad so I drank a lot of beers to get the taste out and I must have gotten drunk because on the way home I hit a parked car that was too far out in the road so it really wasn't my fault but I broke both casts and had to get new ones.

I dropped my watch in a hotel toilet one night while on an overnight trip. Good thing I'd already flushed and the toilet had finished running & refilling. I really liked that watch.

Hi there
In answer to your question - yes I have. It's not the most nicest thing to have to do - that is to retrieve that item from the bowl. However, in my experience, I have learned that it all depends on how desperatley you need this item in which you have dropped will determine if you should submerge your hand into this contaminated water!
Always wash your hand thoroughly after doing so, or better still use a glove!
Happy hunting.
