well if you've already had one RES then you know all about them, right?
*that they need 10 gallons of water per inch
*that they can grow to be 8-12 inches (depending on sex)
*that they can be agressive with two turtles?(or get along fine, lol)
*that they can live to be 30 years or more
i think you'll be fine with the turtles if you knew all of this,. if you didnt, well now you have a chance to start over right
hm, well my Turtles name is Torti, and lots a people name theirs Tuga (short for tortuga)
but tippy sounded like a good name, so im sure you'll be able to think of something

Red-ear sliders RES are not easy pets, and should live 10+ years in captivity. You can check the site below for suggestions.

I too have red eared sliders, two of them are adults and two babies. So I know how important a good name is . For the turtles ,as far as they go I think its important for them to have a freind or room mate. I think that is very sweet of you , good luck finding a name.

Well I do have one, but it's actually a yellow slider, same I think. My kids and I have had him for the past four years, his name is squirt. It's really amazing, to see how much he has grown in the past years. When he came to us he was actually as big as a five cent piece, now he's grown to be as big as an adult hand. My kids are no longer interested in holding him to clean etc, they are scared of his movements now. Well I guess you do know how to take care of them, the lights, cleaning the tank etc..Wel I hope your mom enjoy her new babies..
