congrats. I'm 14 weeks with #3 I was fat b4 this pregnancy started. I ONLY look pregnant when i lay down. Then my lower belly kinda puffs out. Standing i just look like I've gained weight. Anyhow YES it can be twins and both not seen on a early ultrasound IT Happens. if you are measuring big for your due date your ob will do another ultrasound. Also about week 12 when they listen for fetal heartbeat with Doppler 2 hearts may be heard if it's twins I've heard of people finding out that way. Anyhow GOOD LUCK. Also it is possibe to be just ONE 3rd pregnancy shows sooner then a 1st.

Everybody is different - it could be twins but if you've already had an ultrasound that only showed one baby your size probably has a lot to do with the fact that it's your third pregnancy. Your body does a lot of stretching during pregnancy and each pregnancy stretches your body farther - like inflating and deflating a balloon.

Talk to your doctor. That is the best way to solve this question. like everyone has said each pregnancy is different. With my boys I lost weight and was skinny but with my girls I gained a ton.
If I remember right an ultrasound at 7 weeks would only be to make sure that it is a viable pregnancy. In other words to make sure it is not stuck in one of your fallopian tubes.

even though they took an ultrasound it is still possible you can be carrying twins. an ultrasound is a good thing to have but can(not likely)have been read wrong or at the time the second fetus was not visible. call your dr. and ask to schedule another ultrasound...
and tell him your symptoms and concerns remember there are NEVER any dumb questions when it comes to your health especially when you are pregnant...

I would say no. But everyone's pregnancies are different. I am sure if there were any abnormalities in the baby's size or development, the ultrasound you had would have indicated that. Call your dr. if you are truly concerned.

i am 26 wks pregnant with twins, i can still see my feet, at nine weeks i think i had a bump but my tummy still was not big. this does not really sound normal. what does your doctor say? my mom was saying tonite that sometimes when women tend to swell too much during their pregnancy their doctor will test for some kind of toximia.

As long as the doc isn't concerned, I wouldn't worry too much. Every person and pregnancy is different. With my first I was tiny and didn't have to wear maternity clothes until I was 5 months pregnant. My 2nd, I swear I was wearing them in my 2nd month .. you're body says .. HEY! I remember this .. and out it goes lol
Congrats!!! :)

You wouldn't be able to see your feet if you were obese. At 9 weeks (even though it is your third pregnancy) you should still be able to see your feet, unless you're retaining some serious fluid (which is normal, and common!)

could be lots of fluids! are they sure your 9 weeks? your belly should measure the exact same size as the weeks you are pregnant! you really should talk with your ob-gyn doctor!
