They traded Aaron Rowand. What most people forget is that the Sox also got most of Thomes salary paid for the remainder of his contract. The Sox hated to trade away rowand but really needed that huge bat in the middle of that offense. Plus losing Thomas and Everrett they needed a good dh. They also were really high on rookie Brian Anderson because of his few call ups last year. He hasnt produced as much as hoped but is improving. There are trade rumors all over Chicago about trying to get a new centerfielder.
