Is the next president a woman - if so, in no time at all! If she's anything like me, she'll get all the debts paid off and start helping the needy around the world!
If the next president is a man - Ha! That's funny...you mean, get the US out of a hole? Lol! LMAO - thats just not going to happen! Sorry.

No president can straighten it out. Only God and the moarls of the Politicians and people.
There will be problems as long as we live. We need to start the draft and instill some pride and discipline back in our young people.

I don't think much of Bush's mess will EVER be straightened out. He's got the national and trade deficits so high, my grandchildren will be paying $24 for a loaf of bread. And I don't even have grandkids yet! And that's not to mention Iraq. Bush has about every country that used to be our ally hating us now. This idiot has effed up our country so bad, it will take years to even get partially back right.

The President is a small part of the problem. Congress does nothing to improve our country. THEY ARE THE REAL PROBLEM. What have they done this sesion. Nothing. Get rid of every incumbent and start over with young, new folks who wikk work for us. Not Like Kerry, Kennedy , Fritz, Gingrich etc.

While some of the solutions seem fairly straightforward (build a wall and patrol it), most of the challenges we face were around long before we came naked and crying, and, although most of them 'could' be settled relatively quickly, in all likelihood the vast majority of them will still be wrestled with long after we go well-dressed and smiling.

Doesn't give us an excuse for not fighting, though. And who knows just what could tip the balance one way or t'other?
(stealing a very cool phrase from Lord Admiral Horatio Nelson, the best naval commander of all time and changing it around for my own uses)

AMERICA EXPECTS THAT EVERY MAN WILL DO HIS DUTY!!!

The United States has had far more challenging situations than it does today. Solutions come from the people, a politically proactive citizenry.

This always begins in the same place, getting involved with local community. Do you know who the elected officials are in your community? Do you know who are the appointed officials are in your community? Do you know the local community issues? Do you know the local community governmental budgets?

This is all public record and if you aren't aware, you are in the game.

What are the current problems you are talking about?

Are you talking about the deficit? Maybe the next republican president will cut all the funding to the social programs, and raise taxes, like clinton did.

At least two more terms. It has less to do with the President, and more to do with, when are the people of the USA going to stand up to their elected officials and say "NO, we will not fight another false imperialistic war!". Then we can begin to change.

The problems that we have now aren't the result of this current president. Prior leaders put us in this situation. It's not like it happened over night, and it's not going to be fixed over night either.
