When you rhyme, you are matching the last part of a syllable from one word with the last part of a syllable from another word. It's true that there are a limited number of ways that syllables can end in English. However, not all syllable endings are matched up with all possible syllable beginnings. There are gaps in possible syllables, and it seems like the words that rhyme with "orange" would fill one of these gaps.

I recall hearing that there are no "real" words that rhyme with the words/colors orange, purple or silver. Weird huh? : )

There are a few two-word phrases that rhyme with orange (sort of) - Your fringe, door hinge, etc.
