I missed my period for months, but it's not uncommon for me when i am playing volleyball usually 3 months, but this time when it came again, it lasted near a month and was really heavy. I was also passing blood clots that were big. I was wondering if there was anyone that knew what was wrong and what the best solution would be, i am obviously gonna go see a doctor but the earliest appointment isn't for about a month, so i have to wait, but in the mean time was looking for some answers, preferably from professionals, but any advice would be great. thnx so much!

honestly, it is great you are going to a doctor, because he can confirm if you have a uterarian cancers or other diseases...don't get freaked out by that, but is always best to start with that, unless you have been sexually active, which means you could have had a miscarriage...if you haven't it is still a possibility that you are just having an abnormal period like before...i was a devout sprinter for years and this was a common occurrence for me, it is just your body reacting from the strain of the physical stress you are putting on it....but still confirm with your doctor, that will give you the best peace of mind

My ex-wife had hormonal imbalances that would cause her to go three months between her month plus periods that were heavy discharges. If I am right, her gynecologist could not do anything about it. Your problem t months without a period during volleyball could be partially caused by a low body fat percentage, my one female friend went a long time between periods when she was a heavy runner in high school. For the rest of her life her family and husband is keeping an eye on her weight to make sure that she stays healthy.

If you missed it, that might be a sign of pregnancy. Just make sure to pay very close attention to your doctor.

Sometimes your period skips a month or two, then it has to catch up.
