No bad idea, painful and not really necessary. insurance won't pay for it.

Absolutely not! Very painful for a man that age. Why do it anyway? That covering is there to help retain sensitivity so that lovemaking is more enjoyable. Rubbing inside underwear and pants takes away sensitivity.
