check where the antenna is and if there even is one.

It is possible your antenna is not working. Without an antenna, you might be able to receive an A.M. signal, but the F.M. range requires an antenna for any kind of decent signal. Check the connections from the radio to the antenna, and all the antenna connections. I bet this will fix your problem.

time for a new truck radio ...check out the scrap yards you can usually pick one up really cheap if you don't want to invest alot
