You can't go wrong with any Toyota model. I've owned 2 Corollas, a Celica and a pickup truck over the years and they all were excellent. Their somewhat high new price is countered by their high resale value. If you follow the routine maintenance recommendations, I have found that they will NEVER strand you on the side of the road with a breakdown.

Stop writing and write about Honda's... i have a 1985 Honda civic.... still in great working order no engine changes.... as long as you get regular oil changes and pay attention to the few recalls that does happen to honda's you'll have a good car for 20 years or more. But i'm bias... my dad's worked for Honda for almost 25 years.
