What a hilarious understatement to say that the party of Reagan could debate.

Ronald Reagan literally talked the Soviet Union out of existence. He chided them, cajoled them, berated them, and preyed on both their best and worst instincts. He persuaded them to, in the words of Mikhail Gorbachev, walk to the very dizzying edge of the precipice, and ultimately induced them to take one more step (.................kerplunk!)

Ronald Reagan reminds me of Daniel Webster. Webster was a master at debate, and he once observed that if everything were taken away from him, he could recoup it all merely through the power of verbal persuasion.

Even from beyond the grave, Reagan still had the power to motivate people to action. Former British Prime Minister was in such poor health, she was so incredibly frail that she could not stand at the podium at Reagan's funeral and deliver the eulogy. But that would not dissuade her! She pre-recorded it, and had it played while she sat among the rest of the people who came to pay their respects.

It has been said that when Johnny Cash sang a song, "it stayed sung". When Ronald Reagan spoke, the impact his words made did not dissipate over the course of time.

Well they both like to give tax breaks to the rich and dramatically increase the deficit, so I don't see any difference.
