Bill Clinton chose to speak in his video deposition for the Paula Jones lawsuit. He knew that this would open the floodgates for his impeachment prosecution. He could have just said "I take the 5th (ammendment)" - he chose not to.. What do you think about this?

If he took the 5th Amendment everyone would have assumed he was guilty. By opening the floodgates, he let the people decide knowing that most would forgive his indiscretions and that's essentially what happened. Even Monica Lewinksy received a multi-million dollar deal from a weight-loss company.

I think pleading the 5th would have been worse for him. He seems like an honest man. I think he wanted us, and his wife, to know the truth.
