I currently live in a 2 bedroom apartment with my boyfriend and a roommate. We have found a 3 bedroom house for rent out of town that we all love and will be moving in on August 1st. The thing is our lease with our apartment isn't up for 3 months, and the landlord isn't letting us out of our lease. We're thinking about trying to get a 5 day eviction notice. Does anyone have any good suggestions. We don't want to break anything. I know this sounds bad but our landlord is horrible. Please help!

Hi. I have a few suggestions. As a landlord, I always let my tenants out with a 30 day notice, but if he wont suggest paying an exit fee of 1/2 of what the next 3 months will equal. If that doesnt work, try subletting for the remainder of the 3 months with the possibility of the sublet person signing a new lease with him when yours is up. Subletting is legal, even tho most leases say it's not. Finding a sublet person will take alot of work, but it's worth it. You may also want to kick in $100 toward the remaining 3 months to the sublet. It'll make for a better relationship between you and them so they dont cause any problems with your current landlord. good luck

Don't pay your rent or do something directly against the terms of rental agreement, like parking your car on the lawn or moving others into the house or being a pain in the *** to the neighbors that are friends with your landlord.

Well since you don't want any physical damage. Try something that isn't. Disturbing the peace. Play music loud enough to annoy your neighbors, but you have to stop if cops are going to be called. After all, you don't want to be ticketed or arrested. Assuming that doesn't work though, try to do things loud and nosily. Stomp around your apartment when you are in it. Make loud moaning sounds with your boyfriend. Drop a lot of pans and junk on the ground on a constant basis.

Make enough noise and yeah...

OK, let the landlord know that you cannot afford the rent and have to move somewhere cheaper or he will not get his money cause you do not have it. This way he will find someone that can pay him for rent. Good Luck

Play loud music... ALL NIGHT LONG. Bring in an animal that barks alot. Say someone in your family is terminally ill an you have to move away immediately. If that doesnt work I dont no what will. Just drive your neighboors nuts until they do complain.

Be loud and disturb your neighbors. If you know them, tell them to complain to the landlord.
