I'm trying to start my own business but can't beleive the outrageous amounts they charge to add a shopping cart and such!!

You do not necessarily have to pay someone to get a business website. And if you're asking "why can't you make your own shopping cart", it simply isn't done unless you program PHP and such.

I recommend osCommerce if you don't want a free, open source shopping cart that will be powerful for a business. You should get a SSL certificate, usually provided by hosting companies. osCommerce can be downloaded and installed instantly into your host if it supports Fantastico Auto-Installer.

go to citymax.com...shopping carts are hard to do, I have my own site I constructed but looked there for a shopping plan...good luck if you don't like that try Namo.com it's a great program, but I don't think they have shopping carts
