i personally don't have it, but my best friend does....he is applying for disability, but i don't know if it is related to that...my best advice is to use "distraction" music ((he listens to music as much as possible at a moderately low level, y'know just loud enough to be heard personally)) that seems to keep him from becoming too annoyed...other than that he recommends a doctor visit, some other afflictions cause the same symptoms

I have constant ringing in the ears. My ear doctor says that there is nothing that can be done that wouldn't be worse than just living with it. It's always there, and quite loud, yet it is easily forgotten when I'm busy thinking about something else. I don't believe that you can get disability for this condition. Ignore it as best you can.

I live with tinnitus. Have for several years. Some days are so bad, that I have a panic attack. Most days I am to busy to think about it. it is usually in the evening when things have slowed down that I have a problem...makes it harder to ignore. As far as disability, not likely. May depend on what you do. Check with your local disability office. If it is not interfering with your lively hood, then probably not.

I have it, you just have to learn to live with it and it's not considered a disability.
