Raves are underground, and held at illegal locations, and people usually wear funky clothes and go to forget their problems, its a big spot to do E ( Ecstasy) and other club drugs ( drugs that are man made)
Where as a club is held at A club, you can look in the phone book for a clubbed, you can't for a rave.
Clubs play diff types of music,
Raves most often play trance and techno.

Usually, raves are alcohol free. Most people dance & take X. It's stupid.
Clubs: dance & get drunk. FUN!
