basics: cologne and perfume should be not so strong that a person can smell it walking past you with a foot in between the two of you
with that said, i personally like cologne with just a hint of musk in them...and for girls, i love soemthing fresh scented and/or tropical summer scented um...clinique's happy to be is pretty nice...something light and never musky. for both guys and girls, i suggest mixing colognes/perfumes (but not both!) that smell similar for a great blend of different smells OR mix two very different scents..but put only a drop of the stronger scent with the less stronger one for a tinge of spice =) hope this helped...just have fun trying out different ones

There was a cologne I found years ago that I found very appealing on men. It was called "Gray Flannel". I have never forgotten it. My own personal favorite perfume for myself is "ICY" and it is by the Coty company. Perfumes and colognes have layers.. It is a trick finding one with the proper layers that dissipate at the proper times. Mostly they are lemon scents or lavender scents (for men).
