does anybody know any good modelling agencies in Montreal? I don't have a portfolio yet and am just starting out. I've seen a few, but they seemed really sketchy and always asked for a large fee.

Firstly do not go to a modeling agency without a portfolio as they will want you to get one and these can be very expensive, you best bet is to get a friend to take a lot of photos of you with a digital camera (in different clothes and backgrounds) and then select a 10-20 really nice photos and create a digital portfolio which you can put this on line and just have business cards with the link on, a lot cheaper than having them printed. examples of work can be provided on request. just message me here if you want, i am a professional website designer but have lots of free time (and enough money) so i am currently doing free sites for small bands, small artist etc, basically anyone who could not afford them otherwise.
