I went to start my honda 250 rebel - and it clicked/buzzed and then nothing - the horn is weak - do I have a dead battery? It started like 5 mins before, I used the kill switch and it started again, now nothing - any suggestions

I go with the battery or associated wiring to begin with theory. If they don't appear loose, corroded or broken then keep tracing a dead short somewhere.

If that happens start by seeing if you have a power drain with the key off.

Sounds like a dead battery or a bad starter solenoid. If the kill switch was bad, the engine would still crank over. It just wouldn't spark.
A simple check, follow the red lead from the battery to the starter solenoid. The other thick wire goes straight to the starter motor. With a big screw driver, touch both terminals together (be careful of sparks). If the motor cranks, then you need a starter solenoid. If the motor won't crank, then charge the battery. May need replacing.

It sounds like you have a dead battery, but you say it had just worked.Try cleaning and or tightening your battery terminals. It sounds like the problem is a loose connection or if the battery is old it may need a charge.

first of all-you do not have a gasoline pump your equipment is gravity fed.important fuse on your motorbike must be below the starter solenoid-persist with the purple cable from the battery to the black container and it it could be below there-30 amp fuse.no rely if it is not blown, then i could assume you have issues on your ignition swap. Is your battery secured down with the rubber strap-if no longer it could have jumped up once you hit a bump and shorted out the main nicely-known fuse on the metallic physique of the motorbike.additionally look on the main nicely-known fuse container and spot if all the different fuses are ok.

Also take time to test your kill switch to be sure it has not shorted out inside it's housing.
