I wish we could just eliminate the party system completely, like George Washington suggested in his farewell address and his correspondence from about that time. (by the way, every reason he used to argue the issue is killing our political discourse right now) Unfortunately, the two major pains in the... I mean parties are too entrenched, with too much money and too many people who will blindly support them, no matter what, just because of their party label. But I do wish a third party would not just become effective, but dominate American politics, because all the arguments on both sides are coming to resemble the trenches of World War I before the US troops and the British invention of tanks showed up and began making progress. By the way, I love the Constitution Party, for the most part. Dr. Peroutka, your last candidate for the presidency, came by Lynchburg 4 days before the election, I got to meet him personally, and I even voted for him. Love it, love it.
